Parallel Dimensions ’99 (1999 SHMUP fan-game)
Posted by John as Shmups
Here is my very first fangame. It is made in 1999 in Klik ‘n Play, later ported to Multimedia Fusion to take advantage of advanced features.
Get the game at: http://www.sendspace.com/file/abp1vz
It is a Gradius-style shmup that has a prominent dimension-hopping element. That element has been a staple in my fangames since, from Xeno Fighters EX all the way to Super Mario Fusion.
Since it is my first fan game, it does have its flaws. For example, the weapons system is very unpolished and confusing. One weapon is completely useless (it was more of Klik ‘n Play’s fault, since I had almost no control over variables).
This video showcases the final mission, which is a trip to Microsoft Land, a ish reality of the Microsoft environment from the mid-90′s!
General Protection Faults!
EMM386 Exception errors!
Flying Windows Icons!
Program Manager!
This stage has both a midboss and a final boss, complete with cutscenes.

NEStalgia Present: S.C.A.T. Mission 3
Posted by John as 2d Shooter
Me showing the 3rd Mission in S.C.A.T.: Special Cybernetic Attack Team on the NES.
Playlist: http://fr.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=4C589B930445839D
Note: Because im lazy and YT has made an error when i was uploading Mission 3 i needed to restart the game to Mission 1.
So i have used my GameGenie but only 2 codes to help me: Longer immunity and Start with more energy but i dunno why and these codes are made me invincible for some reason…
So all the last Missions are done with nonchalantly and laziness, so think they are more a “show up” to the next Missions.
(Anyway i suck in 2D Shooter if you want to see some great guys in these type of game just go see BrYaN5555 and Nintenga.)

Summer Carnival ’92 Recca サマーカーニバル’92 烈火 NES FC
Posted by John as Shmups
Without a doubt the best and HARDEST shmup on Nintendo’s 8-bit wonder. Probably one of the very first manic shmups that are now more common in today’s breed. This one is definitely not for the one who needs anger managment.
Until Game Reproductions started selling their copies of this, this was one of the rarest games on the console. It had a very limited release in the Japanese market. I think most of the original Famicom cartridges of this were given out in Naxat Soft’s 1992 Summer Carnival shmup tournament. I am not sure.
